Visiting specialized exhibitions in China and traveling to the production facilities of our suppliers and their clients is a key to our successful operations. Our recent visit to the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 exhibition in China was a crucial part of this ongoing endeavor. We closely examined the exhibits from one of the leading suppliers of digital printing equipment, ATEXCO.

Digital Printing Equipment

Model H Sublimation Printer
The renowned Model H sublimation printer, previously showcased at an exhibition in Milan, was displayed with a configuration of 16 Kyocera print heads. This model boasts a printing width of 1.8 meters and a maximum productivity of 1200 m²/hour when printing in a single pass.



Vega 9180 DI
Equipped with 48 Kyocera print heads, the Vega 9180 DI supports various types of ink. At the exhibition, it was demonstrated using reactive ink, with a maximum productivity of 750 m²/hour.

Vega X1 CP
The Vega X1 CP, also using reactive ink, features a camera for precise registration for duplex printing, achieving a productivity of 320 m²/hour.

Vega X1 Pro
This model intrigued us with its 16 Kyocera print heads that print with seven-color pigment ink and additional heads for impregnation. In Shanghai, a new version, the ATEXCO EcoPrint, was presented with 24 Brother print heads, a print speed of 300 m²/hour, and pigment inks in eight colors. The resulting prints had high color brightness and good penetration on the reverse side.

Single-Pass Printer
Atexco also showcased a single-pass printer, recommended for a daily load of 100,000 meters.

Duplex Printing Technology
The Vega X1 CP printer featured a camera on the print carriage, enabling precise image positioning for duplex printing and alignment with existing finishes on the fabric, such as foiling, embroidery, or printing. Atexco's proprietary software ensures a declared alignment accuracy of 0.2 mm.

"We were very interested in the EcoPrint printer. We see great promise in pigment solutions that offer high quality and speed. We are planning to order this machine for our showroom and have asked Atexco for information on delivery times."

Ink
Atexco provides proprietary ink for the entire range of their printers and print heads, ensuring the highest quality operation and allowing for a warranty on the print heads.

Hybrid Presses
A notable machine at the Atexco stand, presented by Key Cheng, featured a digital printing module with 64 Kyocera heads, achieving a printing speed of over 1000 m²/hour. The process starts with fabric impregnation via a rotary unit, followed by digital printing, and finishes with additional enhancements like gold or silver powder using a flat screen. An integrated drying device completes the process, delivering ready-made fabric with hybrid technology patterns.



Atexco, in collaboration with the German company Texpa, showcased an automated line for sewing towels and applying product tags. Their jointly produced range includes equipment for bed linen sets, pillowcases, and bathroom curtains.

Overall, the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 exhibition provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in digital printing technology, particularly the innovative ATEXCO digital textile printers. This experience reinforces our commitment to leveraging these innovations for enhanced productivity and quality in our operations.
